What is Goblin Mode?
Goblin Mode is an idle pixel-art RPG in the vein of Task Bar Hero. Your goblin fights on its own in a small strip on your screen, even in a mini window by your taskbar, while you choose its class, stats, skills and gear.
How do you play?
Pick a goblin class and let it fight through 80 zones across 8 regions. Spend stat and skill points as it levels, upgrade gear from +0 to +16 with jewels earned in play, and pick harder difficulties for denser packs and better loot.
What classes are there?
Four goblin classes at launch: the Frothgut (a berserker who hits harder the longer a fight runs), the Scrapwall (a tank in heavy plate), the Firebug (a fire caster) and the Mudmender (a healer who plants bog-mud totems). More classes and races come later.
What is prestige?
At level 400 your goblin can prestige: back to level 1 with 750 bonus stat points per prestige, keeping its gear and cleared zones. There is no limit, so every run makes it stronger and opens prestige-only realms.
How does PvP work?
Goblins invade each other's realms, Dark Souls style. You get 3 torches a day to invade a goblin by its X handle; every fight is saved as a replay, and 28-day seasons rank goblins on a public leaderboard. Invasions only move in-game experience, gold and renown.
Is Goblin Mode pay-to-win?
No. The shop sells looks and convenience only, such as wings, auras, pets and titles. Experience, stats, gear and upgrade jewels are earned in play and never sold.
When can I play?
Goblin Mode is coming soon. Early access testers can play the prototype with a password. Follow @GoblinModeDev on X for news.
